The Consulate General of India, New York, US India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), and Sannam S4 invite you for a discussion with the new Consul General in New York, Ambassador Randhir Jaiswal, about US-India collaboration on higher education. The objective of the session is to introduce the senior administrators of US higher education institutions, particularly those located in the Northeast US, to the new Consul General and for him to share his priorities related to the sector in his new post. India’s New Education Policy 2020 provides opportunities to leverage synergies between higher educational institutions in both countries.
Ambassador Jaiswal assumed charge as Consul General of India in New York on July 19th, succeeding Ambassador Sandeep Chakravorty who served from April 2017 to June 2020.
Ambassador Jaiswal‘s last posting was as Joint Secretary and Social Secretary to the President of India Ramnath Kovind. A 1998 Indian Foreign Service officer, the Ambassador headed the foreign affairs office of the Rashtrapati Bhavan where he advised the President on India’s foreign policy. He had also earlier served as Consul General of India in Johannesburg, South Africa.
This unique opportunity to interact with and share your institution’s priorities with the Consul General will be hosted by the two founding partners of the US India Knowledge Exchange, USISPF, and Sannam S4.
We look forward to your participation and support of further US India collaboration on higher education.
