About the Speakers

Neha Grover, Director, Education, Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade): 

Neha joined Austrade in 2014 and is responsible for driving and strengthening education sector linkages and partnerships between India and Australia. She is instrumental in advising Australian education providers to develop a commercially viable model for engagement with India. She is an experienced professional, with over 13 years of experience in the field of international engagement, consultative selling, stakeholder analysis and mapping, and business development.

Prior to Austrade, Neha was Lead Business Analyst for American Express in India, where she was responsible for project management and business activities for Senior-level executives. She holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad and Bachelor’s in English from Miranda House, Delhi University.

She loves travelling and is always keen to explore new places/destinations. Travelling helps her to connect with new people, build relationships, and explore food, fashion and culture.


Sagar Bahadur, Principal Adviser – Strategic Initiatives (India),The University of Queensland, Australia:

Sagar is responsible for the overall strategic direction of The University of Queensland’s (UQ) India operations, which encompasses business expansion, brand communication and stakeholder management. UQ is a founding member of the Group of Eight (Go8) universities ranked 46th in QS World Rankings and 2nd in Australia in the 2020 Academic Ranking of World Universities. UQ has won more national teaching awards than any other Australian university.

He is currently pursuing the flagship PGP from UCLA Anderson majoring in Strategy & Finance and holds qualifications from IIM Calcutta and Grenoble Graduate School of Business. He is obsessed with transforming education for the next generation and building innovative education models and has a rich and diverse experience in K-12, Higher Ed and Online Ed landscape across multiple geographies – India, US, UK, Australia, South East Asia, Africa. He is the proud recipient of the Philip Kotler Award 2020 (education domain) at the 9th World Marketing Summit and was awarded the BW 40 under 40 (education) by BW Businessworld in September 2020.


Anupama Ghai, Principal Adviser India, The University of Sydney, Australia:

Anupama Ghai has worked in the education sector for the last 9 years of her 20+ years’ work life. She has worked with the British Council and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. where she leads on large scale commercial as well as impact driven education projects with state governments in India.

She has led diverse teams in highly challenging environments and has created success stories where ever she has worked in her professional career. As principal Adviser India, University of Sydney she is responsible for its India operations and aspirations to be the preferred study destination for bright Indian students.

University of Sydney is consistently ranked high and currently holds 40th position in the world as per QS 2021 university rankings. It is also ranked no 4 in the world for Graduate Employability.


Shikha Vij, Career & College Counsellor, Step by Step School:

An M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from IHBAS (Delhi University). I have over ten years of experience in the fields of Socioemotional Counselling and College Guidance. In my role as a Counsellor, I got the opportunity to review the plethora of college applications and essays and visited many school and college campuses as part of my work. With admissions for students ranging from UBerkeley, ANU, University of Sydney, NYU, Boston University, University of British Columbia, University of Toronto, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, University of Cambridge, King’s College London, Imperial College London, University of Waterloo, NUS and University of Hong Kong etc.  I got a platform to advise students on all aspects of Applications. I constantly wish to expand my knowledge base and am a committee member of International ACAC and recipient of the “counsellor of the year award” 2019 by IC3. My background in Clinical counselling helps me to understand the needs of students as well as parents
