Sannam S4 has appointed Michael Green as its General Manager – India to lead the business through a period of significant growth for its market entry and expansion services.
Michael Green enters the role having relocated from Washington D.C. where he was Sannam S4’s Director of Client and Stakeholder Relations and led partnership activities with the U.S. International Trade Administration within the U.S. Department of Commerce; regional economic development organizations (EDOs); the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) ExporTech™ Program and other key stakeholders.
“Michael’s appointment adds further dynamism and depth to our stellar India team,” says Adrian Mutton, Founder and Chief Executive of Sannam S4. “His leadership qualities, vision and ability to create value with Sannam S4’s partners and stakeholders will ensure our local support ecosystem remains well placed to expand and will continue to deliver a high quality of service to our clients.”
Having first visited India in 2006, Michael added to his India expertise in 2011 by joining the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC), the premier bilateral trade association promoting increased trade and investment between the U.S. and India. While at USIBC, Michael focused on policy advocacy and identifying creative solutions to investment barriers by involving multiple private and non-governmental stakeholder groups as well as inter-agency and inter-ministerial bodies in the U.S. and Indian governments.
In his new role, Michael will be based out of the Mumbai office and responsible for Sannam S4 India’s contribution to the Sannam S4 Group’s vision of being the world’s most effective and trusted market entry and expansion solutions provider. Included in this vision is the ongoing expansion of its U.S. Business Centers initiative, which Michael was instrumental in shaping in 2015 through its launch in India in 2016.
“India is experiencing seven plus percent growth under the Modi Government,” said Kapil Dua, Co-Founder, Group CFO, and Director of Financial Consulting at Sannam S4. “Michael is joining at the right time as our increased India business activity stems from a combination of our existing clients ongoing local success and the heightened interest from foreign markets in trade, investment and educational activity in the subcontinent.”
In India, Sannam S4 has over 125 employees across four offices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai. “The opportunity in India is massive. Whether it is identifying solutions in infrastructure or launching products or services geared towards India’s 600 million plus citizens under the age of 25, foreign businesses and organizations are rightly spending more time on India now than they were 5, 10, 20 years ago,” said Green.
“Sannam S4’s fully-integrated business services solution is unique, mitigates risk, and has a proven track record of delivering in-market solutions across a range of operational challenges that face newcomers and those who are perhaps struggling to “figure out” a market like India,” he added. “I have seen our model deliver results and real return on investment for our clients particularly in the small and mid-market segment, and am excited to work alongside partners in the public and private sectors to help businesses, organizations and education institutions realize their potential in the world’s fastest-growing large economy.”
