At Sannam S4, we believe that the 17th SDG, namely ‘Partnerships for the Goals’ is the critical backbone for achieving the SDGs by 2030. Enhanced co-operation, especially within multi-stakeholder partnerships that mobilise and share knowledge, expertise, technology and financial resources are needed to support the achievement of the SDGs in all countries. Given our close working relationship with international corporates, not-for-profits, schools and universities over the last decade, we recognise that they can serve as critical agents to achieve certain SDGs, especially within India.

Pre-COVID, the world recognised that some progress on the SDGs was being made, albeit slowly and incrementally. However, with the onset and acceleration of the pandemic in developing nations such as India, there is a possibility that we will see a reversal of our collective progress and set the world 10 years further back from achieving the goals. With all this, one thing has become more evident than ever before: The SDGs are needed to guide a coordinated, equitable and sustainable recovery for our planet.

    • Expand the awareness base about the role of universities in achieving the SDGs

    • Engage the youth and inform them about the most pressing sustainability challenges, as they are the future custodians of our planet

    • Share the success stories of existing partnerships between Indian and International Universities, centered around select SDGs

    • Invite leading changemakers to share their viewpoints and provide numerous opportunities for delegates to network

    • A platform for identifying and mobilizing CSR, grants, and other resources to launch new initiatives

The Sannam S4 Annual SDG Conclave 2021 will provide an opportunity to engage closely with India’s youth, learn best practices for existing partnerships centered on the SDGs and discuss challenges that stakeholders are facing in their journey towards 2030

      • Go Global: Establish linkages across a cross-section of interested stakeholders from around the world

      • B2B Target Audience: Facilitates meaningful impact and supports Conclave goals
      • CSR opportunities: Encourages collaboration and creates an opportunity to enhance community betterment to match Global standards

This year, we are inviting universities to sponsor different goals under the SDG Changemaker competition, based on their academic expertise and programme specialisation in sustainability-related subjects. There are two tiers of sponsorship: one focused on current high school students and the other focused on current university students pursuing their bachelor’s degree.
