Adrian’s international experience began with launching his first business in India in 1993 and has worked in the country since then and lived in the sub-continent for a total of eleven years. Through leading the international expansion of a fast growth tech company in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, Adrian also developed a first hand understanding of doing business in China, South Africa, Taiwan, Singapore and the UAE amongst other markets. Serving clients from around the world, Adrian has been active both in establishing international sales and support offices, as well as implementing local development and manufacturing facilities.

Recognizing a local need, Adrian established Sannam S4 in India in 2008, to provide a trusted and fit for purpose trade support platform for organizations seeking to explore, enter and expand in the country. This initiative led Adrian to be appointed as the Founding Country Director of the UK India Business Council in New Delhi in 2008, where he led the design and local implementation of a new UK India trade support approach.

In 2015 following an engagement with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry in India, he was invited by the U.S. India Business Council to join President Obama and Prime Minister Modi’s U.S. India Business Summit in New Delhi. Inputs he provided were tabled for discussion in the historic U.S. India CEO Forum that followed. This engagement led to the initiation and launch of the U.S. Business Centers ( in India, a groundbreaking initiative pioneered by Sannam S4 and supported by the U.S. India Business Council (USIBC) and Citibank India. The U.S. Business Centers provide highly effective market entry and business expansion support to U.S. companies, institutions and non-profit organizations in India.

Based on Sannam S4’s success in India, Adrian has led the expansion of the business model into China, Brazil and the UAE and is driving the strong growth and ongoing success of Sannam S4 and the U.S. Business Centers internationally.

Adrian is often featured in the international business press and is regularly consulted by international governments, their trade support agencies, trade associations and industry bodies seeking to develop more effective ways of facilitating international trade and investment.
